David and I set out on this house adventure in June or July of 2003 - a shockingly early point in our relationship, but here we are a year later and still happily together to talk about it. A lot of other things have changed in our lives as well. At any rate, we couldn't find a pre-owned home that had all of the wish list we had accumulated, so we set about finding a builder that could deliver on our budget. After a few false starts, we found Dan Hartman and in less than 12 months we're in a house that fits all of our original wishlist requirements. The pictures don't really do it justice - I'll get some more of the "final" pics up when I get a chance to take them (the house has to be clean for that to happen. The house is located in Prairie Home Estates, 1st Addition, in the town of Middleton, Wisconsin. It's about 4 miles from real civilization which is quite a change from the condo we were living in in Fitchburg, but it's got .8 acre of land for the dogs to run and me to pretend I'm a gardener.
